The 1909 Club

In 1909, a two-room wooden building on Townsend Avenue opened its doors as part of a rural county school district that would one day become Alamo Heights ISD. What started small has never stopped growing. What hasn't changed is this community's commitment to a tradition of excellence in educating its children.

In honor of the district's founding, and the steadfast commitment that's carried it forward ever since, the Foundation created the 1909 Club: a leadership giving society recognizing donors who give a total of $10,000 or more annually to the Alamo Heights School Foundation.
